Touching the face – Our hands hold different substances which can cause an irritation to the skin.
The irritation on the face cannot be recognized easily until you have touched it. The irritants can be very small and hard to be seen such as dust, mites, small amounts of pollen and animal dander.
Allergens and irritants are easy to be transferred in the face so it is very important for you to be extra careful in washing the hands after holding things that contain allergens such as animals, dusty objects, flowers, and ink cartridges.
Avoid touching your face without washing your hands first. This might be tough but when you get used to it, it will become your habit.
Lack of moisture – When you have dry skin, there is a grater possibility that you will scratch your face because it is very itchy and really feels good to scratch it. Scratching the face can break the top layer of the skin leaving it open to constant itching, dirt, bacteria, worsening eczema and some infections.
Your face is prone to drying out because it is more exposed to harmful environmental factors such as weather extremes, humidity, air conditioners, and heating systems which can dry and destroy the balance of the skin.
You can use a skin moisturizer that is dermatologically tested and does not have perfumes and parabens which will harm the skin. The skin cream you should apply once a day should be rich in Vitamin E.
Your diet – the kind of diet you have greatly contributed to your health and skin condition. Spare foods which can cause you some allergies and any type of skin problems. Avoid eating too much spicy foods, processed foods with lots of additives and preservatives, foods containing mono-sodium-glutamate and excessive intake of alcohol.
Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables because they are rich source of minerals and vitamins needed by your body and they can help the skin to regenerate.
